OUR CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE

The safety of your children while in our care, as well as our staff, are our number one priority.   At Heaven Sent Child Care, the well-being of our family and staff has and remains to be the core of our mission and policies. We continue our commitment to providing the best in safety features and procedures, and we will continue to lead the way by implementing increased safety measures within our center.

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19  pandemic and continue to follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, Public Health Departments, childcare licensing, and state/local officials.

Here's what we are doing:

1. We encourage your staff and parents to protect their personal health.

2. We have posted the signs and symptoms of COVID-19:  fever, cough, shortness of breath in a visible location in the center as well as placed the downloadable documents in the parent corner.

3. The Director of Heaven Sent Child Care or a designated staff person takes the temperature of staff upon arrival as well as enrolled children upon entry of the center.  We conduct our screening questions to exclude sick or exposed children and staff.

4. We exclude all staff and children who exhibit cold-like symptoms. In addition, if anyone in the household that shows cold-like or fever symptoms staff and children are not permitted in the center.

5. We require all staff and clients to disinfect their hands with center-provided alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol before and after clocking into our POS system.

6. We require parents to drop-off their children in our office, and parents cannot enter the center building to decrease exposure to children and staff.

7. We have added additional deep cleaning days to our existing weekly cleaning schedule from our professional cleaning company to sanitize the center.

8. We have children and staff practicing social distancing and have each classroom at a capacity of 10 people (The classroom group size includes children and personnel.).

9. We frequently disinfect and clean high touch surfaces such as tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, sinks, etc. throughout the day.

10. We require children and staff to wash their hands frequently throughout the day.

11. We do not allow outdoor shoes in the building.  We provide children and staff to wear their designated crocs or slippers while in the center.

12. We have canceled all outside center activities.
